- Let’s Take it outside ~De Niro
At one time when a Man had a problem with another Man they would take it outside and settle it like gentlemen. Whoever was left standing was the winner and neither Man held a grudge, as far as they were concerned their disagreement was now over.
After the fight both Men would shake each others hand and have a beer, for many Old School Men this is how they first met some of their lifelong friends. Back then their wasn’t a more honest way to truly know what another man was made of than slugging it out in an Old School fight.
But now if an Old School Man even suggested to some kuala and coke sipping metrosexual ‘man’ that they take their disagreement outside he is branded “uncivilized” or “low-class”. Or even more likely metro-man will call the police on his pink Motorola razor.
This is just another example of how doing anything masculine these days is considered bad or even criminal.

This is so true. I hate seeing masculinity being labeled bad.
One recent example is my Human Physiology class learning about the endocrine system. My professor was starting to make fun of bodybuilders for using exogenous androgenic steroidal hormones (testosterone) to enhance their masculinity because she said it will permanently shrink their balls.
Well, I asked her if using exogenous female steroidal hormoes (estrogen/pregesterone/estradiol/aka birth control) does the same thing to women’s ovaries since we are talking about exogenous steroidal hormones interfering with the production of those hormones by organs in the body in both cases.
She just paused and then said “No” and moved on. Well, that can’t be physiologically true so basically her stance is: Man enhancing masculine hormones=bad, women taking female hormones=good.
I constantly see anti-male sentiment at my school (unless the males are gay), and most students there are female. Anyway sorry for the rant, keep up the good work.

i also think it has something to do with where you grew up. being from the south i think a lot of the old school things still hold water. when i meet someone knew i shake their hand and introduce myself with first and last name,hold the door for a women walking in or out.and being a member of the “BARE KNUCKLE DEBATE TEAM” is still accepted all tho carries a stiffer punishment if cought.
but i will openly admit it is slowly changing and even the younger good ol boys are falling the way of the PC metro douche,forgetting their manners at home a hiding from hard work. not all but enough to cause alarm.
