So… where are the other comments… oh, wait, I know, they’re all black ops and can’t reveal their presences…. but people need to be reading this stuff!

This is, as far as I know, a unique site; chock full of no-BS information, delivered in a casual and humorous style. Should be required reading. Keep it up. Semper Fi and all the very best to the crew.

11 James G March 17, 2010 at 06:35

Yes there is, we have one guy that is going to be our firearms correspondent.

The one problem with firearms reviews is trying to be original. Every new gun that is released is reviewed an every gun blog and gun magazine.

We don’t want to post a story that has already been on every electronic and print firearms media already.

So when you do see firearms here it wont be the usual “new gun review” – we will try and do something different.

Awesome blog, James. Been reading it for sometime now. Refreshing to hear from someone with actual ink on his passport pages rather than some Navy Seal Delta SAS Ranger cranking out shithot “sitreps” from his mom’s basement in between jacking off while watching Roadhouse and rewrapping the paracord on his tiger-striped machete.

Hopefully this gets people thinking for themselves and not lemming their way along through the tactical/expat world.

Now when can we order a “Death Valley Mag: Our Ops Are Blacker Than Your Ops” t-shirt?

Rock on, bro

Don’t forget the IR patches on the shirts-Never know when you might need to make a hot lz night extraction from the Meadow Hills Galleria. That’s why I always where my rigger’s belt with a couple of ‘biners in my BOB while shopping.

Actually, I just “BYOB” when shopping. Makes the time blur faster. And later, when I return back to my AO, I’m always surprised to find out what I’ve bought.

I am presently a Boston cop (17 years last Friday!,) formerly a Boston Public Schools Substitute Teacher (cue the hysterical laughter!) and before that, a USAF Officer for 12 years. Spent eight of that 12 as a Security Police Flight Commander and staff weenie.

Stumbled onto this site after Googling “Grey Man” because I like that EOTAC ad that says, “Don’t wear a Tuxedo to a gunfight. Be the Grey Man…Disappear.”

Best stumble I ever made! I like the Grey Man concept because it’s more important than ever before not to look like a copper off-duty. I came for “Grey Man”….and I’m staying for the rest of the wisdom!

Your site is hilarious. I also like that you point out practical considerations that are often overlooked by doom and gloom profiteers, end of the world nuts and other posers and wannabe’s. I esp. like the Old School Man series. Any idea when the DVM contractor knife is going to be available?
